Tesla (TSLA) is facing a wrongful death lawsuit over a 2024 crash of a Model S vehicle that killed three people in New Jersey, Reuters reported late Monday.
The lawsuit was filed with the federal court in Camden, New Jersey and the plaintiffs claimed that the fatal accident was caused by the vehicle's "defective and unreasonably dangerous design," the report said.
The car's defective design led the vehicle off its lane and failed to deploy its emergency brake, Reuters reported, citing the complaint.
Tesla did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
