Guangdong JingYi Metal (SHE:002295) Chairman Huang Yuhui stepped down, effective Wednesday, citing "personal reasons," according to a Thursday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.
Huang's resignation comes after Chinese courts included him in a list of dishonest persons, according to a separate Thursday filing by Shanghai Zendai Property (HKG:0755) with the Hong Kong bourse.
His inclusion in the list comes after the China Securities Regulatory Commission issued a letter to Huang ordering "rectification measures" against JingYi Metal, the Zendai Property filing said.
Following the issuance of the letter, Huang was deemed unqualified to hold directorial, supervisorial or managerial roles within JingYi Metal, Zendai said.
Huang also stepped down as chairman of Shanghai Zendai Property effective Wednesday.
Shares in JingYi Metal jumped 5% during afternoon trading on Thursday.
