星展银行计划年内于中国香港及新加坡聘请40名私人银行家。集团北亚私人银行业务的负责人Carol Wu表示，目前已聘请约一半的目标人手，她指目前很多投资者都在寻找离岸财富管理机会，希望将资产多元化。她又提到，今年首五个月，该行香港私人银行业务的收入同比增长近30%，资产管理规模同比增长约20%，净新资金按年升1.3倍。上周亦有消息指，星展计划未来三年内在香港招聘100名银行家，并于明年开设一个新的财富中心。
