智通财经APP获悉，西班牙毕尔巴鄂银行(BBVA.US)西班牙区负责人Peio Belausteguigoitia周三表示，在西班牙政府对交易施加条件后，该行正在考虑是否继续收购规模较小的竞争对手Sabadell，并将重新评估其对预估成本节约的影响。截至发稿，西班牙毕尔巴鄂银行周三美股盘前跌超3%。

去年4月，西班牙毕尔巴鄂银行出价120亿欧元(约合134亿美元)收购Sabadell全部股份，合并后的公司将成为西班牙最大的银行。该计划遭到了西班牙政府的反对，但在去年9月获得了欧洲央行的批准。

西班牙政府在周二对这笔交易施加了附加条件，其中一个条件是，西班牙毕尔巴鄂银行在收购Sabadell后至少三年内不得将两家银行的业务进行整合。

对此，西班牙毕尔巴鄂银行高管表示：“我们将在不久的将来决定是否接受这一附加条件。我们绝无意拖延这一进程。”他补充称，“所有选项”仍在考虑之中，包括撤回收购要约、以及可能就政府的裁决提出申诉——同时他也为该收购案的合理性进行了辩护。

根据西班牙法律，政府不能阻止收购，但对是否进行合并有最终决定权。西班牙毕尔巴鄂银行高曾表示，即便将Sabadell保持为独立运营单位，完成交易后两年内仍可实现预期8.5亿欧元(约合9.86亿美元)成本协同效应的大部分。
