Target (TGT) is testing a new delivery model that ships products directly from factories to customers' homes, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
The move aims to offer more low-cost items, similar to what Chinese e-commerce platforms provide such as Shein and PDD's (PDD) Temu, the report said.
The focus will reportedly be on non-food products like clothing and household goods.
Target regularly tests new ways to deliver products and services to its customers, Bloomberg said, citing a company spokesperson.
Target did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
