Sasol's (SSL) unit, Sasol International Chemicals, and renewable energy producer Akuo said Wednesday that they have signed a 15-year virtual power purchase agreement to reduce Sasol's emissions by 90 thousand tons per year.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The agreement will provide 91 megawatts of annual renewable energy capacity in connection with Akuo's 195-megawatt Tennyson solar farm constructing in Coke County, Texas, the parties said.
The solar farm is expected to be operational in H2 next year, the companies said.
Sasol's stock was down 2% in recent Wednesday premarket activity.
