Canyon Resources Orders Equipment, Appoints Contractors for Cameroon Project

Canyon Resources (ASX:CAY) has ordered key long-lead equipment and appointed contractors at its Minim Martap Bauxite Project in Cameroon, targeting first production in early 2026, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The company has placed an order for 22 locomotives from China-based CRRC Ziyang, with deliveries expected in the first quarter of 2026, the filing said.

It also named contractors for road upgrades and the construction of an inland rail facility, the filing added.

Mining and haulage contractors are expected to be mobilized by the year-end.
