Brightstar Resources Declares First Ore Reserves at Western Australia Underground Mines; Shares Up 5%

Brightstar Resources (ASX:BTR) declared its first ore reserves at the operating Second Fortune and Fish underground mines in the Laverton Hub in Western Australia, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

Maiden ore reserves at Second Fortune are at 52,000 tonnes at 3.36 grams per tonne grade of gold for 6,000 ounces, with Fish at 175,000 tonnes at 3.23 g/t grade of gold for 18,000, the filing said.

The reserves will support the company's fiscal year 2026 mine plan, with ore to be processed through an agreement with Genesis Minerals (ASX:GMD), per the filing.

Shares were up 5% in midday trade Thursday.
