HERNDON, Va., June 27, 2025 - Navient Corporation (Nasdaq: NAVI) has announced the successful closing of its inaugural $536 million Navient Education Loan Trust (NAVEL) 2025-A. This significant transaction is backed by Earnest-branded student loans and marks a major milestone in Navient's efforts to support access to higher education while introducing a high-quality, education-focused asset to the asset-backed securities (ABS) market. The issuance comprises four classes of notes: - Class A: Size of $405.7 million, with a weighted average life $(WAL)$ of 3.67 years, rated AAA/AAA, and a coupon rate of 5.02%. - Class B: Size of $74.7 million, with a WAL of 3.81 years, rated AA, and a coupon rate of 5.32%. - Class C: Size of $28.7 million, with a WAL of 4.14 years, rated A, and a coupon rate of 5.53%. - Class D: Size of $27.2 million, with a WAL of 3.29 years, rated BBB, and a coupon rate of 6.03%. Barclays acted as the sole structuring agent and lead bookrunner, with co-leads J.P. Morgan, BofA Securities, RBC Capital Markets, and Atlas SP. The notes were offered under an exemption to registration pursuant to Rule 144A under the Securities Act of 1933, intended for qualified institutional buyers.
