June 26 (Reuters) - Duke Energy DUK.N said on Thursday that it had set a preliminary new combined utility system summer usage record of 35,269 megawatt hours (MWh) on Tuesday.
The company said that the new record surpassed the previous summertime record of 34,439 MWh set on July 9, 2024. Duke Energy's combined utility all-time record peak was 37,260 megawatt-hours, set on January 23, it said in a statement.
