Ocean Power Technologies (OPTT) said Thursday that it has received a notice of allowance from the US Patent and Trademark Office for a patent application for an autonomous, floating marine charging system.
The renewable energy company said the patent covers its charging system, which it said allows electric vessels and uncrewed surface vehicles to recharge from a floating energy platform.
