世界卫生组织26日表示该组织25日向加沙地带运送了自3月2日以来的第一批医疗援助物资。世卫组织总干事谭德塞在社交媒体上表示本次运送物资的9辆卡车装载有基本医疗用品、血液和血浆等通过与以色列接壤的凯雷姆沙洛姆过境点运送至加沙地带血液和血浆被运送到加沙南部汗尤尼斯的纳赛尔医院并储存在冷藏设施中将在未来几天内分发给巴勒斯坦地区物资严重短缺的医院。这些医疗物资只是杯水车薪世卫组织呼吁通过所有可能的路线立即、不受阻碍和持续地向加沙地带提供卫生援助。
