Amesite Inc. announced a change in its independent registered public accounting firm, dismissing Turner, Stone & Company, L.L.P. on June 24, 2025, and appointing Novogradac & Company LLP as its new auditor. The decision, approved by the company's Audit Committee, followed the identification of material weaknesses in Amesite's internal control over financial reporting for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024. These weaknesses included inadequate controls for reviewing journal entries and calculating stock compensation expenses, as well as improper procedures for recording deferred revenue. Despite these issues, there were no disagreements between Amesite and Turner Stone regarding accounting practices or audit procedures. Turner Stone's audit report for 2024 did, however, express concerns about Amesite's ability to continue as a going concern.
