航运界网消息，当地时间6月24日，在特朗普任命Louis E.Sola为美国联邦海事委员会（FMC）主席不到6个月后，他宣布辞职。

美国FMC官网发布他的辞职声明，但并没有给出离职的具体原因，他将于6月30正式卸任。

2018年，特朗普提名Louis E.Sola担任FMC专员，2025年1月20日，特朗普在他第二任就职典礼几个小时后，任命Louis E.Sola担任FMC主席。

Louis E.Sola表示，“能在这个职位上为国家服务，我感到非常荣幸。”
