That's how much the index fell yesterday, representing a 0.02-point decline-despite an ongoing trade war, recent conflict in the Middle East, and fresh criticism of Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell from President Trump.
That was the smallest closing change in more than eight years, according to Dow Jones Market Data. On Jan. 10, 2017, the benchmark fell by 0.0048 points, or 0.0002%.
The broad market index includes stocks with a combined market value of more than $52 trillion as of end-May. It is less than 1% off a record closing high set in February.
