据中新网，中国银行(香港)副董事长兼总裁孙煜近日表示，中银香港将持续加大东盟市场的资源投入，强化基础能力建设与区域联动机制，构建多元化服务特色，进一步巩固区域化协同优势。孙煜介绍，中银香港近年在东盟市场的拓展中取得成效，已通过收购和整合7家东南亚机构，并自建3家机构，成功实现从城市银行向区域性银行的转型，初步形成区域管理体系，走向区域一体化、集约化的经营发展之路，成为中国银行在东盟区域经营全覆盖的主要力量。数据显示，截至2024年末，中银香港东南亚机构客户存款余额达861.8亿港元，贷款余额587.44亿港元，分别较2023年增长16.5%及9.9%。
