Technology stocks were advancing premarket Monday with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) up 0.9% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) 1.4% higher recently.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) shares were up more than 10% after the company and Juniper Networks (JNPR) said they have reached a deal with the US Department of Justice to resolve an antitrust lawsuit against Hewlett Packard's $14 billion proposed takeover of Juniper.
Palantir Technologies (PLTR) has named Accenture's (ACN) Accenture Federal Services subsidiary as its preferred implementation partner for US federal government customers, the companies said. Shares of Palantir Technologies were up more than 4% pre-bell, while Accenture was 1% higher.
Sony Group (SONY) and Honda Motor's (HMC) joint electric car project's operating loss widened to 52 billion Japanese yen ($360.6 million) in its latest fiscal year through March from 20.5 billion yen a year earlier, Bloomberg News reported. Shares of Sony Group were down by nearly 2% premarket.
