DWS Group GmbH & Co. KgaA has appointed Benjardin Gärtner as the global head of equities, effective September 1, 2025. Gärtner joins from Union Investment, where he served as managing director of Union Investment Privatfonds GmbH since March 2023 and led equity fund management since 2015. In his new role, he will oversee over 70 investment experts and manage EUR 107 billion in assets. He will report to Vincenzo Vedda, the global chief investment strategist at DWS. Previously, Gärtner worked with Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, and Allianz in various capacities.
