IT之家 6 月 30 日消息，沃尔沃在海外低调宣布该公司已完成旗下第 5000 辆电动重卡交付。该公司自 2019 年起开始交付纯电动重卡，目前客户遍布全球 50 多个国家，累计行驶里程已经超过 1 亿英里（IT之家注：约 1.7 亿公里），作为比较，目前特斯拉Semi纯电卡车仅交付约140台。

沃尔沃卡车总裁 Roger Alm 表示：“非常欣慰看到第三方运输公司持续在不同领域认可沃尔沃电动卡车的优势。沃尔沃的电动卡车可直接用于运输，为客户和运输采购方提供更可持续、同时符合商业逻辑的解决方案，许多客户也正在回购更多车辆，扩展他们的电动卡车队伍。”

考虑到沃尔沃的先发优势、特斯拉长达五年多的量产延迟，以及如今单辆售价高达约 42 万美元（现汇率约合 301.1 万元人民币）的“戏剧性”涨价，即便特斯拉真的能在 2026 年（明年）开始量产Semi纯电卡车，要追赶上沃尔沃似乎也相当困难。

目前，沃尔沃在欧洲已经连续五年稳居重型电动卡车市场第一，市场份额达到 47%。而在美国和加拿大，沃尔沃在 2024 年的市场占有率为 40%。
