BlockBeats 消息，6 月 30 日，XRPL EVM 侧链已正式上线主网，将以太坊智能合约引入 XRP 账本生态系统。这一突破为 XRP 账本开启了兼容以太坊的去中心化应用新场景。
该侧链由跨境支付公司 Ripple 关联的区块链网络推出，允许开发者在 XRP 生态内构建、移植和部署跨链以太坊兼容应用。官方表示，这个并行运行的区块链将 XRP 账本的低成本交易优势与以太坊智能合约功能相结合，在优化速度、安全性和扩展性的基础设施上，为借贷、资产代币化和支付等新型去中心化应用开辟了通道。
据悉，XRPL EVM 侧链由 Ripple、Peersyst 和 Axelar 三方合作开发，采用了 Evmos 的软件架构。虽然 XRP 账本此前已支持有限的本地智能合约编程，但一直未兼容 EVM。不过，与 XRP 账本集成的 Flare 网络已通过 EVM 兼容层单独提供智能合约功能。该侧链通过 Axelar 作为独家跨链桥与 XRPL 主网连接，用于转移封装 XRP 等资产，这些资产将作为侧链的原生燃料代币。
