快科技6月29日消息，NVIDIA DLSS技术即将迎来重大更新，将采用全新的 "Transformer模型"，预计将带来诸多改进，包括显存占用量大幅降低。

目前NVIDIA DLSS技术基于卷积神经网络（CNN），而新的Transformer模型则是一种更先进的技术，据NVIDIA官方消息，新模型已结束测试阶段，将正式推出。

与旧版相比，新模型在显存使用上进行了优化，以1080p分辨率为例，新的310.3.0 SDK版本在使用Transformer模型时仅需87.77MB显存，比之前减少了19.8%。

这一显存降低的效果在其他分辨率，如1440p、4K和8K上也普遍存在，平均显存需求降低了约20%。

这意味着，对于那些显存容量有限（如8GB）的用户来说，使用DLSS技术时将更加轻松。

此外，Transformer模型通过评估每一帧中的所有像素，并理解单个像素的重要性，从而生成更详细的像素，提升画质，这将使DLSS在图像质量上也有显著提升。

不过需要注意的是，模型的显存占用总体来看并不大，在8GB显存和1080p分辨率下，模型的显存占用率约为1%，4K分辨率下也仅占用300M左右显存。
