WA1 Resources (ASX:WA1) reported an indicated mineral resource estimate of 73 million tonnes at 1.38% niobium pentoxide, including a high-grade subset of 31 million tonnes at 2.31% niobium pentoxide for the Luni niobium deposit at its West Arunta project in Western Australia, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

The deposit's total mineral resource estimate, indicated and inferred, has increased by 10% to 220 million tonnes at 1% niobium pentoxide, including a high-grade subset of 53 million tonnes at 2.2% niobium pentoxide

The mineral resource estimate is constrained to shallow, weathered mineralisation, starting from 30 meters below surface and extending to a maximum depth of 180 meters, with mineralisation open at depth.

Resource-focused drilling activities during the year are aiming to define better key zones and further increase resource confidence in select high-grade areas, the filing added.
