BlockBeats News, July 1st, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced on June 30th the appointment and reappointment of 20 unofficial members of the 3rd Generation Internet Development Task Force (Task Force), with their terms taking effect from July 1, 2025, for a period of two years. A spokesperson stated: "Since its establishment in 2023, the Task Force has provided valuable insights on Hong Kong's potential and direction in the 3rd Generation Internet development, combining innovation with practicality. The appointed and reappointed unofficial members are all outstanding industry leaders and professionals. With the recent release of the 'Hong Kong Digital Asset Development Policy Manifesto 2.0' by the government, their expertise and experience will help drive the continuous growth of Hong Kong's digital asset ecosystem and establish Hong Kong as a leading global hub for digital assets."
Starting from July 1, 2025, the unofficial members of the Task Force include Miles Wen, Daniel Chan, David Yau, Zeke Zhu, Johnson Kong, Kelvin Kwok, Lydia Lam, JJ Lam, Morning Lam, Louis Lui, Martin Ma, Alan Ng, Professor Paul Chan, Alessio Quaglini, Peggy Ko, Victor Siu, Warren Chan, Wang Jiachao, and Dr. Sean Hsiao.
