Westpac Banking (ASX:WBC, NZE:WBC) said its subsidiary, Westpac NZ, supported Auckland's water and wastewater service provider, Watercare, in securing NZ$3.4 billion worth of committed bank debt facilities, the financial services firm said in a statement Tuesday.
The facility will enable Watercare to continue the improvement of services in the Auckland region after financial separation from Auckland Council.
Westpac served as the sole agent bank and a joint mandated lead arranger, underwriter, and bookrunner alongside other banks, the statement said.
