ACTU Secretary Sally McManus says the $3 million threshold above which the government’s new superannuation earnings tax will apply needs to be indexed, but that there is no urgency.
A day after compulsory super architect Paul Keating took a veiled swipe at the policy, which he argues will introduce bracket creep into super, McManus said it would be “a very long time into the future” before average workers were caught by the threshold.
