路透引述消息人士称，Facebook与Instagram母公司Meta行政总裁朱克伯格(Mark Zuckerberg)，已经完成重组集团在人工智能(AI)业务的部署，成立Meta超级智能实验室(Superintelligence Labs)，统领AI业务发展。 实验室一如原先市场传闻般，由Scale AI创办人兼前CEO汪滔(Alexandr Wang)担任主管。他在Meta超级智能实验室的职位是首席AI主管。与汪滔同样担任实验室主管的还有GitHub前CEO Nat Friedman。 Meta有自身的大型语音模型(LLM)，称为Llama，但其最新型号Llama 4的表现逊色于其他科技巨头包括谷歌、OpenAI，以及中国的DeepSeek。因此，朱克伯格希望通过成立超级智能实验室，推动LLM的发展，特别是类似人类智能的通用人工智能(AGI)研发。 朱克伯格过去数个月通过入股AI初创公司，招纳专才加入Meta超级智能实验室，除了汪滔外，OpenAI共同创办人之一苏茨克维(Ilya Sutskever)也被招揽参与实验室工作。另一名精英则是与苏茨克维共同创业的格罗斯(Daniel Gross)。 有分析员认为，Meta对AGI研发的投资，可能一如其于Reality Labs的投入般存在高风险。Meta自2020年投资600亿美元在Reality Labs项目，但只取得微小回报。
