BCE Inc. has announced the successful conclusion of the sale of its minority stake in Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE) to Rogers Communications Inc. for CA$4.7 billion ($4.2 billion net of taxes). The proceeds from this sale will support BCE's acquisition of Ziply Fiber, a leading fibre Internet provider in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. This transaction is part of BCE's strategy to accelerate its expansion into the U.S. market. Additionally, BCE has entered into a long-term content rights agreement with Rogers, ensuring that TSN will continue to deliver a comprehensive sports schedule in Canada through the 2043/2044 season.
