1146 ET - Amazon's upcoming Prime Day sale is scheduled to last four days, or twice as long as last year. Such a longer sales event is a promising sign the e-commerce giant has greater logistics capacity to offer promotions, BofA Securities analysts say in a note. Amazon is likely benefiting from an improved inbound network, optimized inventory placement and increased robotic capabilities, the analysts say. The extended event also signals inventory availability is not a constraint despite tariff concerns, the analysts add. (kelly.cloonan@wsj.com)
