YouTube has warned its creators their channels face a direct hit if the government changes its position and includes the video platform in a ban on social media users under 16.
In a note sent to some Australian YouTubers on Thursday, the Google-owned tech giant said it was worried the government would ignore the views of creators and the wider community after the eSafety Commissioner recommended YouTube be included in the ban.
