Dow Jones
Jul 03, 2025
1604 ET - The S&P 500 and Nasdaq set fresh highs, while the Dow Industrials stall as investors wait for the June jobs report ahead of the extended July 4th weekend. Energy shares led the gains as oil prices rose when Iran said it's suspending cooperation with the U.N. atomic agency, returning some of the risk premium that faded following last week's cease-fire. Health care stocks fall the most on big declines in a few health insurers on worries about data from plans on the Affordable Care Act exchanges. The DJIA falls 10 points to 44484, while the S&P 500 rises 0.5% to a record 6227 and the Nasdaq gains 0.9% to 20393. (patrick.sullivan@wsj.com)
