0327 GMT - Universal Robina has said it is likely to face limited impact from infestation of red-striped soft scale insects in sugarcane farms in the Philippines, Maybank Securities' Daphne Sze says in a report. The food and beverage product company's sugar mills are located in the central region and southern island, while the infestation is largely present in Northern Negros, the analyst says. Government intervention has also been swift as the Sugar Regulatory Administration has already requested funds to cover pesticides, operations and technical assistance for farmers, the analyst says. The brokerage raises the stock's target price to PHP100.00 from PHP90.00, with an unchanged buy rating. Shares are 0.2% higher at PHP89.40. (ronnie.harui@wsj.com)
