Godawari Power & Ispat Gets Power Grid Corp.'s Approval for Full Range of HT Steel Billets

Iron products manufacturer Godawari Power & Ispat (NSE:GPIL, BOM:532734) said it has received approval from Power Grid Corp. of India (NSE:POWERGRID, BOM:532898) to supply its high-tensile steel billets (HT Billets), valid until July 1, 2026, according to a Thursday filing with the Indian bourses.

The approval enables Godawari Power to supply the full range of HT steel billets to manufacturers of galvanized steel structures used in Power Grid's transmission projects, the filing said.

The company said it will now be able to offer its entire galvanized steel structure portfolio, which was previously limited due to the high cost of externally sourced HT billets.
