据内蒙古日报消息，7月1日，包头市召开干部大会，宣布内蒙古自治区党委有关干部任免职的决定：自治区党委决定，自治区党委常委陈之常同志兼任包头市委书记，丁绣峰同志不再兼任包头市委书记职务。

上述报道显示，陈之常已经担任内蒙古自治区党委常委、包头市委书记，他此前为江苏省南京市委副书记、市长。

公开资料显示，陈之常出生于1974年12月，四川大竹人，曾任北京市东城区委常委、副区长，石景山区委副书记、区长等职，2019年12月调任江苏省淮安市委副书记，2020年1月当选淮安市市长，2021年6月接任淮安市委书记。

2023年1月，陈之常出任南京市委副书记、市长，直至此次履新内蒙古。

丁绣峰出生于1965年3月，河北平乡人，曾任河北省唐山市市长、河北省副省长等职，2021年跨省升任内蒙古自治区党委常委，先后兼任自治区党委秘书长、自治区党委政法委书记、包头市委书记等职，今年1月当选为内蒙古自治区人大常委会副主任。

据包头市政府官网介绍，包头又称“鹿城”，位于内蒙古自治区西部，北与蒙古国接壤，南临黄河，东西接土默川平原和河套平原，是连接华北和西北的重要枢纽，是国家、内蒙古对外开放的重点发展地区。2024年，包头的地区生产总值（GDP）为4575.1亿元。
