Tyson Foods Union Workers in Texas Vote to Ratify New Contract Following Threat of Strike

Teamsters Local 577 members at Tyson Foods of Amarillo, Texas, voted overwhelmingly in favor of ratifying a new four-year collective bargaining agreement.

The workers reached their agreement following a credible strike threat at the beef processing plant.

The new contract offers benefits including a 32% wage increase, more time off and expanded retirement benefits.
