索尼集团与本田汽车的电动汽车合资公司——索尼本田移动公司披露，在截至今年3月的财年中，该公司的年度运营亏损翻倍至520亿日元(约合3.62亿美元)，而上一财年亏损为205亿日元。由于合资公司尚未有产品上市，该公司在截至3月的财年与前一财年相同，均未录得营收。不过鉴于两家母公司的规模，上述亏损额度相对较小——索尼集团和本田汽车在最新的财年中合计运营利润超过了2.6万亿日元。

电子与娱乐企业巨头索尼与汽车制造商本田于2022年宣布合作，成立一家电动汽车合资企业，双方各持股50%，目标是通过整合本田的车辆开发和制造能力与索尼在图像传感器和娱乐领域的专长，进军高端电动车市场。当前，双方正筹备于今年推出首款车型AFEELA 1，该车将提供两款配置，起售价约合人民币64.43万元。
