智通财经APP获悉，据一封内部电子邮件显示，美联储监管与法规部门主管Michael Gibson接受了该机构提供的自愿离职方案，计划于本月底卸任。据悉，Michael Gibson于1992年以经济学家的身份加入美联储，2008年全球金融危机后在时任美联储理事Daniel Tarullo的领导下逐步升任高层。
Michael Gibson的离任正值鲍曼(Michelle Bowman)刚刚就任美联储副主席(负责监管事务)之际，同时美联储也在进行人事缩编，预计未来几年将通过人员自然流失减少约10%的员工数量。
Michael Gibson在电子邮件中表示：“我理解领导层的更迭可能带来不确定性。然而，我想向大家保证，我们的组织完全有能力成功应对这一变化。正是因为我们员工的奉献精神和卓越才干，我坚信我们重要的工作会继续顺利推进。”
Michael Gibson补充称，Mary Aiken将出任监管与法规部门的临时主管。该部门负责监管大型银行并执行压力测试，即对大型银行抵御金融冲击能力的年度评估。Michael Gibson表示：“我正与鲍曼副主席办公室以及我们部门的领导团队密切合作，以确保交接顺利进行。”
