Lockheed Martin's Rotary and Mission Systems unit received a 10-year contract with a ceiling of $2.97 billion, according to the Defense Department.

The defense contractor will provide Aegis ballistic missile defense combat systems engineering agent in support of the missile defense system, the Pentagon said Tuesday.

The anticipated period of performance is July 2025 to June 2035. The work will be performed in Moorestown, N.J.

Lockheed was also given a contract modification worth $41.2 million. The modification extends the current contract line-item numbers for a period of up to 12 months.
