Health care stocks were edging higher pre-bell Thursday with the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) advancing by 0.2% and the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) up 0.6% recently.
Theratechnologies (THTX) shares were up more than 34% after the company said it agreed to be acquired by CB Biotechnology, an affiliate of Future Pak, in a transaction valued at up to $254 million.
So-Young International (SY) shares were up about 4% after the company said it has regained compliance with Nasdaq listing standards.
Inovio Pharmaceuticals (INO) shares were down more than 30% after the company priced its public offering of about 14.3 million common shares and accompanying series A and B warrants at $1.75 per combination of a share and the warrants, for total proceeds of about $25 million.
