Xiaomi (HKG:1810) is facing a slew of customer complaints amid delivery delays for its new YU7 electric SUV, Reuters reported Tuesday.
After the vehicle racked up 240,000 orders in just 18 hours, buyers now face delivery delays of up to 60 weeks, triggering over 400 complaints on Sina's Black Cat platform, according to the report.
Customers said they weren't warned of the long wait until after paying a non-refundable 5,000-yuan deposit, Reuters wrote.
Xiaomi's chief executive, Lei Jun, plans to address concerns in a livestream Wednesday, according to the report.
