ASX Midday Sector Update: Real Estate Stocks Climb, Information Technology Struggle

Real Estate stocks climbed 1.6% at midday Wednesday after seasonally adjusted data revealed the total number of dwellings approved in Australia saw a 3.2% month-on-month increase in May.

Pexa Group (ASX:PXA) said Chief Financial Officer Scott Butterworth will step down, effective July 31. Deputy CFO Liz Warrell will assume the role of acting CFO until a permanent appointment is made.

On the flip side, the information technology sector saw a decline of 1.3%.

Janison Education Group (ASX:JAN) renewed its agreement with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand for a further three-year term, valued at around AU$2 million. In addition to renewing the core agreement, the organization will also be the inaugural commercial customer for Janison's new artificial intelligence-powered item development platform, Jai.
