智通财经APP获悉，澳大利亚统计局周三公布的数据显示，5月零售销售额增幅低于预期，促使交易员进一步押注澳大利亚联储最快将于下周启动第三次降息。
数据显示，零售销售额环比增长0.2%，较前月零增长有所回升，但低于市场预期的0.5%。此前一系列经济数据已显示澳大利亚经济动能减弱，包括通胀压力缓解、意外失业及消费者信心谨慎，这些均强化了澳联储进一步降息的必要性。
掉期交易员已完全消化年内三次降息预期，其中一次最早可能在下周二落地。由于消费活动占澳大利亚国内生产总值(GDP)的一半以上，零售销售数据是澳联储货币政策制定的重要参考。澳联储在考虑进一步宽松政策时，多次将家庭支出前景列为关键不确定因素。
在5月的上次会议上，澳联储曾预计家庭消费将在未来一段时间回升，但近期数据表明这一回升可能比预期更为缓慢。周三公布的数据还显示：零售销售额同比增长3.3%;服装、鞋类及个人配饰零售增长2.9%，百货商店增长2.6%，为仅有的两个增长行业;食品相关支出年内首次下降，降幅0.4%
澳大利亚统计局计划从7月起停止发布零售销售数据，转而于周五开始发布更全面的家庭消费月度报告。
