Navitas Semiconductor Corporation has announced a strategic partnership with Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation to initiate production and further develop 200mm GaN-on-silicon technology. This collaboration aims to enhance supply chain efficiency, foster innovation, and reduce costs, supporting GaN's expansion into AI data centers, electric vehicles, solar, and home appliances. Navitas plans to utilize Powerchip's 200mm capabilities at Fab 8B in Taiwan, with production of the initial devices expected by Q4 2025. This partnership will enable Navitas to transition its 650V devices from TSMC to Powerchip, with 100V devices slated to begin production in the first half of 2026.
