AMP (ASX:AMP) said it will defend a proceeding filed in the Supreme Court of New South Wales by Dexus Funds Management, a unit of Dexus (ASX:DXS), amid a dispute between a Dexus entity and Macquarie Retail over the sale value of the Macquarie Shopping Centre, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
The sale of the New South Wales-based shopping center follows the sale of the company's AMP Capital business.
In the same filing, the company said a new class action lawsuit has been filed in the Federal Court of Victoria against member NM Superannuation proprietary, trustee of superannuation funds AMP Superannuation and insurance policy provider, over allegations of excessive life insurance premiums charged to certain fund members between 2019 and 2024.
Dexus' shares were down almost 1% in recent Thursday trade.
