Odaily星球日报讯 一群美国硅谷的亿万富豪已在美国申请特许银行执照，准备开办一家全国性银行，重点扶持经营加密货币等业务的初创企业。2023 年 3 月美国硅谷银行倒闭后，一些从事加密货币交易等风险较高业务的初创企业在美国融资困难。报道援引知情人士的话称，新银行以《指环王》中的藏宝地“孤山”命名，主要投资人都是美国本届共和党政府的硅谷大“金主”，如彼得·蒂尔等。 根据本周早些时候对外披露的申请文件，“孤山”银行将是一家全国性银行，为企业和个人提供传统银行产品和虚拟货币相关产品与服务，主要目标客户是参与美国“创新经济”的企业，特别是那些加密货币、人工智能、国防与制造业领域的企业，以及在这些企业工作或投资的个人，包括那些“信贷渠道不足”的客户。银行还将寻求与“有意进入美国银行系统”的非美国企业合作。据报道，“孤山”银行的总部将设在俄亥俄州哥伦布市，并在纽约市设办事处，只提供线上客户服务。（新华社新媒体）
