IT之家 7 月 1 日消息，根据英伟达在开发者论坛更新的 Unix 图形功能淘汰时间表，580 系列将成为最后一个支持 Maxwell、Pascal、Volta 三架构 GPU 的驱动系列。
由于英伟达不同操作系统上的 GPU 驱动版本更迭大致遵循相同的节奏和命名规律，这也意味着 Windows 下的对 Maxwell、Pascal、Volta 官方支持接近结束。
英伟达 Maxwell 架构始于 2014 年 2 月推出的一代传奇 GTX 750 / 750 Ti，2016 年诞生的 Pascal 架构则铸造了 GTX 10 系列的辉煌，2017 年的 Volta 则首次引入了 Tensor Core 张量核心。
