Volaris (VLRS) said Tuesday that its passenger demand, measured as revenue passenger miles, fell 1.4% in June to 2.35 billion from 2.39 billion a year earlier.
Capacity for the month, measured as available seat miles, rose 0.6% to 2.80 billion from 2.79 billion a year earlier, the low-cost carrier said.
The load factor declined to 83.9% from 85.6% a year earlier.
Volaris said it transported 2.4 million passengers in June, up 0.2% from the same month last year.
Shares of the company were up 1.3% in early Tuesday trading.
