快科技7月6日消息，谷歌Chrome浏览器正在为Windows 10即将结束支持做准备，谷歌在Chromium项目的最新更新中加入了一项新功能：检测用户电脑是否符合升级到Windows 11的条件。
Windows 10的正式支持将于2025年10月14日结束，届时微软将不再为该系统提供官方支持和更新。
谷歌在Chrome浏览器中加入检测代码，会在Chrome启动时自动运行，检查用户的硬件配置是否满足Windows 11的最低要求，包括CPU型号、内存容量、存储空间、TPM 2.0以及安全启动功能等。
谷歌的这一举措并非是为了在Windows 10停止支持后阻止用户使用Chrome，而是应该为了收集数据，了解有多少用户可能需要升级到Windows 11，这些数据将帮助谷歌决定是否继续支持Windows 10，以及支持的时间长度。
微软为Windows 10提供额外一年的扩展安全更新，但谷歌显然已经在为Windows 10最终停止支持做长远规划。
