据中国新闻网援引美国消费者与商业频道(CNBC)报道，当地时间7月5日，美国企业家埃隆·马斯克在社交媒体上称，他成立了一个新的政党“美国党”，并称该政党将“还给美国人自由”。
埃隆·马斯克 资料图据报道，在对其日前所发一条贴文的回复中，马斯克表示，“支持和反对比例为2:1，表明你们想要一个新政党，你们也会有个新政党。”
马斯克写道，美国正“因浪费和贪污而破产”。他还称，“今天，‘美国党’的成立还给你们自由。”
报道称，自从与美国总统特朗普公开发生争执以来，马斯克就提出了成立新政党的想法，尤其是在他持续强烈反对美国政府提出的“大而美”税收和支出法案的情况下。
美国哥伦比亚广播公司(CBS)报道指出，马斯克5日没有提供关于“美国党”组建的任何其他细节，但成立一个新的政党，马斯克将需要应对错综复杂的州法律、耗时的参选规则以及激烈的诉讼。
美国选举专家布雷特·卡佩尔表示，“所有州的州法律都偏向两大政党，并尽可能地为第三个政党的出现制造障碍。”
“创建一个新政党并让它参加选举的门槛很高。如果你有源源不断的资金，这或许可以实现，但这将花费很长时间，并将耗资数亿美元。”卡佩尔说。
