Electrovaya (ELVA) said Tuesday that it has signed a commercial supply agreement with Janus Electric Holdings to deliver high-voltage lithium-ion battery systems for electrified Class 8 trucks.
The batteries will use Electrovaya's Infinity cell technology and support Janus' swappable battery platform for converting diesel trucks, the company said.
Australia's heavy freight routes require high-performance, durable battery systems, Electrovaya said.
