TJX to Keep Luring Customers Away From Department Stores -- Market Talk
Dow Jones
Jul 08
1237 ET - TJX is poised to keep drawing customers away from department stores, UBS analysts say in a note. The retailer is successful because it gives consumers good value, low prices, and a large variety of merchandise and brands, the analysts say, pointing to recent survey data. Customers associate these attributes with TJX more than with other department stores, which should lead to continued share gains for at least a few more years, they say. Earnings per share will likely have a CAGR of about 11% over the next five years as a result, they estimate. (kelly.cloonan@wsj.com)
